Announcement by the Cyprus Football Coaches Association

On the occasion of the start of the Grassroots youth football championships, the Cyprus Football Coaches Association wishes all children, coaches, parents and teams a wonderful, creative season filled with football experiences!

We would like to remind everyone that the first and most important goal of youth football is for children to enjoy the game, have fun and cherish every moment on the pitch. Winning and results should never overshadow the joy of participation, friendship, teamwork and the love of football.

⚽ As coaches, let us remember that, above all, we are educators. Through our example, behaviour and words, we have a responsibility to inspire children, guide them with patience, respect and a positive attitude, and give them the opportunity to develop both as footballers and as individuals.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 As parents, let us be our children’s greatest supporters. Let us encourage them, recognise their efforts and offer them love and support regardless of the result. Let us allow children to play freely, without stress or excessive expectations, with the sole aim of enjoying the game.

🤝 Let us all work together — coaches, parents, referees and teams — to create a healthy, safe and positive environment where respect, fair play and children’s smiles prevail.

Let us never forget: in Grassroots football, the greatest victory is the smile on every child’s face!

We wish everyone a wonderful football season, filled with health, joy, beautiful moments and, above all, with children at the heart of everything!
