Cyprus Football Coaches Association and Science of Sports Continue Their Partnership

Coach of the Month, Annual Awards and Annual Coaching Conference Return for a Second Consecutive Year

The Cyprus Football Coaches Association (CFCA) and Science of Sports are pleased to announce the renewal of their partnership for a second consecutive year, continuing a shared commitment to strengthening the coaching community, promoting education, and recognizing the contribution of football coaches in Cyprus.

Following a highly successful first year of collaboration, the two organizations continue their partnership with a shared vision of developing initiatives that promote education, professional development, recognition, and continuous support for Cypriot football coaches.

The three flagship initiatives established through this collaboration will return stronger than ever:

Coach of the Month

A monthly recognition programme honouring the top-performing coaches in the Second Division, Third Division and U19 Championships, as well as the highest division of the U17, U16, U15 and U14 Youth Championships.

The evaluation process is based on a comprehensive set of criteria, including style of play, sportsmanship, behaviour, Fair Play, as well as objective statistical data and performance indicators provided by Science of Sports.

Annual Awards

Following the success of the inaugural edition, the Annual Awards are now established as an annual institution, recognising outstanding coaches from both youth football and national competitions for their achievements, coaching philosophy and contribution to the development of Cypriot football.

Annual Coaching Conference

The flagship educational initiative of the partnership returns in an even more advanced format, bringing internationally recognised speakers, cutting-edge sports science research, practical coaching presentations and valuable networking opportunities to Cyprus.

The Conference aims to provide continuous professional development for Cypriot coaches, promote modern coaching knowledge, and transfer best practices from international football to the Cypriot football environment.

During the previous season, a total of 46 monthly awards were presented, including the Fair Play Awards, while 16 Annual Awards were also presented. In addition, the Annual Coaching Conference attracted more than 350 participants, highlighting the growing impact and success of these three initiatives.

The common objective of the Cyprus Football Coaches Association and Science of Sports is to continue developing and enhancing these initiatives every year, making a meaningful contribution to the growth of the coaching community and, consequently, to the continued development of Cypriot football.
